A project that aims to turn unloved brutalist buildings into useful and graphic textile objects. Each surface pattern is based on a post-war building in the Teesside area and screenprinted on sturdy cotton fabric in two colours. The texture and natural unevenness of the fabric recreates the variation in the ageing of the concrete. The fabric is made into small-batch bags and textile accessories which turn those neglected buildings into beautiful and practical objects.
